Earthing Switch
The dielectric insulation requirements of SanGao high quality earthing switch is the same as those of its associated disconnector. Similarly, the earthing switch also needs to match the short-time fault/short-circuit current withstand capacity of its associated disconnector. In addition, the earthing switch used for transmission line switching needs to disconnect the electromagnetic induction and electrostatic capacitance current induced by the adjacent line/circuit
In the substation, the earthing switch is used in conjunction with the disconnector (the earthing switch can also be independent). The earthing switch (earthing disconnector) is used to enable the corresponding part of the circuit (and the equipment connected to it) to enter and work safely so that it reaches the ground potential. The operation of the earthing switch is interlocked with the disconnector to prevent erroneous operation, that is, the contacts are closed when the circuit is energized.
The earthing switch is usually integrated into the integral assembly of the disconnector, or is a separate (independent) device with its own supporting structure. However, integration into the disconnector is a more common design.
