Sangao durbare High Voltage Zinc Oxide Lightning Arrester is currently the most advanced overvoltage protector. The core component adopts zinc oxide varistors, which change the volt ampere characteristics of the lightning arrester compared to traditional silicon carbide lightning arresters, improve the ability of overvoltage to flow, and fundamentally change the characteristics of the lightning arrester.
The high-quality High Voltage Zinc Oxide Lightning Arrester designed and produced by Sangao has provided reliability to the energy market for over decades. Suitable for high-pressure applications in various climates and harsh conditions, such as coastal, desert, and industrial environments.
Insulators made of high-quality innovative high-voltage silicone rubber:
Prevent polymer breakdown under various types of overvoltage, including lightning and operational pulses.
Prevent the formation of conductive pathways along the surface of silicone rubber and reduce arcing.
Liquid silicone rubber can achieve low-pressure molding process and accelerate the filling speed of the mold cavity.
The persistent hydrophobicity, UV stability, and low flammability ensure protection against the external environment.
Easy to operate and can clean finished equipment.
High elasticity silicone rubber can withstand environmental conditions, physical pressure, and human damage.
Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)
High Voltage Zinc Oxide Lightning Arrester can achieve faster mold filling and curing, thereby shortening the production cycle. The low viscosity characteristics of LSR enable highly automated injection molding processes, thereby reducing labor costs and improving production efficiency. LSR can be molded into complex geometric shapes and precise designs, thereby supporting innovative product development. Our SILETIC ™ High voltage LSR products are commonly used for injection molding, hollow insulators, electrical stress control, cable terminations, and surge protection.
When the High Voltage Zinc Oxide Lightning Arrester operates at normal voltage, the current flowing through the arrester is only microampere level; When subjected to overvoltage, due to the nonlinearity of zinc oxide varistors, the current flowing through the lightning arrester instantly reaches several thousand amperes, causing the lightning arrester to be in a conducting state and releasing overvoltage energy, effectively limiting the damage of overvoltage to transmission and distribution equipment.
How does a high-voltage lightning arrester work?
Metal oxide varistor (MOV) surge arrester consists of a series of metal oxide varistor blocks. These MOV blocks act like voltage controlled switches, serving as insulators isolated from the line voltage. Once the voltage borne by the lightning arrester exceeds its reference voltage, the metal oxide varistor (MOV) will conduct. Due to the highly nonlinear nature of MOVs, once the voltage drops below the reference voltage, conduction will terminate.
High voltage surge protector for power distribution
The rated voltage of the distribution surge protector is 1 to 36 kV.
The distribution levels include light, ordinary, and heavy.
Heavy duty protectors include column type lightning arresters.
Distribution surge protectors can also be used as transformer oil bottom lightning arresters, cabinet mounted lightning arresters, and elbow type lightning arresters.
High Voltage Zinc Oxide Lightning Arrester is used for low lightning strike applications, heavy-duty lightning arresters are used for high lightning strike applications, column type lightning arresters are used for distribution lines from overhead to underground, and Evolution lightning arresters can be used for all overhead applications.
Column type lightning arresters are used to limit voltage surges on underground cables and equipment. Open point lightning arresters can prevent surge reflection or voltage doubling.
